Regional Blast
Overview
Regional BLAST is an extension of District BLAST and is held each year in June at Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU). At the conclusion of District BLAST, a number of students will be eligible to go on to Regional BLAST. Arrangements for Regionals are handled by the same leadership team as Districts. Leadership
The event is coordinated by the DNYI Council appointed BLAST Director whose responsibilities include coordinating the District Talent and serving as the regional clearing point for the registration/housing process for the district's involvement in the regional event. Due to the size of this event there is also a District Sports Coordinator. Both the District director/talent coordinator and sports coordinator are voting members of the DNYI Council by virtue of his/her appointment and maintains accountability to this committee and the District President.
